The practical answer: acrylic laser cutting cost should include sheet allocation, waste, machine time, setup labor, masking, cleaning, finishing, packaging, fees and margin. The visible acrylic part is rarely the whole cost.

Why is acrylic waste important?
Clear and colored acrylic often leaves unusable offcuts. If waste is not priced, the shop absorbs it.
Should sheet cost be divided by part area?
Not by area alone. Use the number of complete jobs that fit after spacing, margins, hold-down clearance and grain or finish constraints, then add a separate failure and offcut allowance.
